Rotronics Systems Limited
Rotronics asked 2LO to redesign their website, to promote their bespoke designed electronics for clients like the BBC, ITN and the Ministry of Defence. The site consisted of a finite number of static pages, so was suited to the bespoke style of website the client approved.
Local covers band Fireflies wanted a video showing the range of their repertoire for local pubs and events wanting to book them. 2LO recorded a rehearsal session with four cameras, and edited a showreel for the band to display on their website and Facebook page. In addition, an animated sequence was produced to intersperse between the tracks.
A bespoke garden structure carpentry company asked 2LO to design a brochure and series of leaflets for their products, for their stand at the Chelsea Flower Show. The resulting brochure was a design as unique as their product.
The Scout Association
The Scout Association produce promotional material for members and prospective members, as well as training material for its leaders. 2LO are one of the design studios in the UK that design this material. The Scouts have a strict corporate identity that has to be adhered to.
The BATC produce a quarterly magazine for their members, consisting of up to 48 pages of news and technical articles, distributed electronically as a pdf and as an A4 full colour printed magazine for a portion of the membership. 2LO took over the design and production of the magazine and has produced over 25 editions by the start of 2020.
We provided web design consultancy to Cisco for over nine years, ensuring their partner facing pages complied with the latest UI and UX recommendations, as well as adhereing to the strict Cisco brand guidelines.
The Basingstoke Gang Show are amongst the most progressive Scout shows in the UK, and were early adopters of a bespoke logo that moved away from the traditional logo. They also made extensive use of projected backdrops and effects in the stage show. 2LO were part of the design team for over twenty years, responsible for the graphics for the shows.
As part of the Centenary of Scouting celebrations in 2007, the Scout Association in the UK staged a large show in the O2 Arena, in London. The show featured the best of the regional Scout shows and had over 500 participants. 2LO were part of the team responsible for the graphic design, and produced the design and artwork for the show programme.
Waltham Forest Gang Show
The Waltham Forest Gang Show asked 2LO to come and film their performance and record to DVD for the cast as a keepsake. Using four cameras, the show was recorded straight to disk, including the final dvd credits which were input as a graphic to the vision mixer. at the end of the show, the disk was ready to be duplicated! This was one of the numbers from the show.
Magic Wanda - children's entertainer
'Magic Wanda' is a professional children's entertainer and member of the Magic Circle. As part of the 'Tensai' stage act, she was looking for an identity and website for her children's act. Working with a caricature artist we developed her brand identity and went on to develop her website for her.
St Swithun's School provide their pupils with a variety of perfomance opportunities in their bespoke theatre, Harvey Hall. We have been working with the school for a number of years providing audio-visual support for their shows and concerts, most notably their band concert, held annually.>/p>
A local garage specialising in Volvo servicing wanted to revamp their website and have the ability to update their own details as necessary. The site was built using the Concrete5 CMS framework. The main design was designed and approved using Photoshop visuals and wireframes to show the layout.
ARISS - UK
When British astronaut Tim Peake announced his STEM program for his stay on the International Space Station, the ARISS team were tasked with providing radio contact for ten schools in the UK. 2LO were part of that team, providing audio-visual support, relaying the video received from the ISS to the audience in the school, and mixing the AV for an Internet based live stream of the event.

The Amateur Radio Satellite Organisation in the UK produce a quarterly magazine - Oscar News - and 2LO are responsible for the artwork and layout for each edition. The magazine usually has between 30 and 44 pages, and the articles are supplied in a variety of formats. The design utilises templated pages and stylesheets in Adobe InDesign to ensure consistency. It's distributed electronically as a PDF and has a short digital print run.
Alan Vandome is an internationally renowned magician, and Frank has worked with Alan for over twenty years, providing logo and website design for his main stage act 'Tensai' as well as his close-up magic act. Alan, and his wife Caroline, also have a number of children's acts and we have designed websites for these acts.
